Whilst it was absolutely awesome to see Oliver completely beat the tar out of Malcolm during their battle, the conclusion of the fight was a massive WTF shocker. Seemingly with no other option but to kill Malcolm in order for Merlyn to give up the League of Assassins to Nyssa, meaning that Nyssa will hand over the Lotus to help Thea (still with me?), the Emerald Archer shocked everyone, be it those on hand to watch or those on the other side of a TV screen, by lopping off the hand of Malcolm. Of course, this was the hand that just so happened to hold the infamous ring of Ras al Ghul.
