Genesis of the Daleks nears its climax with a very iconic scene. The Fourth Doctor, Sarah and Harry are deep within the Kaled bunker, on their mission for the Time Lords to stop the Dalek's creation, or to avert their nature and make them less aggressive creatures.

This mission comes to a head when the Doctor reaches the Dalek mutant incubation chamber and has the plan to blow it up. But at this final moment he hesitates, the Doctor of our universe is no killer, this scene shows it.

Could the Doctor just wipe out the Daleks? Has he that right? If he did, he would become like them, becoming the killer if he chooses to wipe them out when they are defenceless and before they've even properly become Daleks. The Doctor even says that some worlds will thrive through their fear of the Daleks, but is that worth all the potential lives lost in the process?
