25. The Watchers Council

On paper, the destruction of the Watchers Council was actually a big moment in Buffy's final season. Not only did it come out of nowhere, but also showed audiences just how big a threat the First Evil and its followers were.

Unfortunately, no one who watched the show really cared about the Council. The leader, Quentin Travers, and his pompous, ignorant band of sheep were mostly insufferable additions to the show, putting Buffy and Giles through the wringer whenever they showed up.

It may have been slightly surprising, but not one of them are missed.
