Fassbender basically already played the Old West version of Bullseye in Jonah Hex, the ill-fated movie adaptation of DC Comics character Jonah Hex. There, the actor starred as Burke, a psychopathic mercenary responsible for the undead cowboy's horrifically scarred visage. All of Fassbender's influences for his performance would suit Bullseye, too. Along with likening Burke to The Riddler, Fassbender said I thought, this is just like Clockwork Orange. I thought Im going to go along that vein. A well-dressed lunatic with a penchant for self-mythologising and a frequent indulger in the old ultra-violence? That is absolutely Bullseye to a tee. The two roadblocks to getting Michael Fassbender into Daredevil would be if he had an exclusive contract with Fox precluding him from other comic book business although, Jonah Hex didn't keep him from playing Magneto in the X-Men prequels or if he's simply too big a name for the Netflix show.
