Daredevil Season 2: 10 Actors Who Could Play Bullseye

By Tom Baker /

9. Dougray Scott

Dougray Scott is one of the unluckiest actors in film. Originally cast to play Wolverine in the X-Men films, filming on his villainous role in Mission: Impossible II meant he had to drop out, the role which made his replacement Hugh Jackman's career. Not long after he was the frontrunner to play James Bond after Pierce Brosnan, losing out to Daniel Craig. Which is a shame, because he's a solid actor. Rather than sitting around licking his wounds, Scott had a season-long part on Desperate Housewives, starred in one of the strongest of the Matt Smith Doctor Who run (€œHide€), and is a bit of a baddie in this year's Taken 3. Scott's right in that sweet spot of being a recognisable name and face, without quite being the level of superstar that probably couldn't be coaxed by the prospect of a Netflix superhero project. He's a lot like Charlie Cox €“ in fame and floppy-haird-ness €“ meaning seeing him at the menacing, unhinged opposite number of Daredevil would be a delight.
