Ollie, of course, was the man who took the eye of Grants daddy dearest, Slade Wilson, decades prior. Whether that served as some sort of motivation for Grant, the son of Slade descended on his own dark and murky path of villainy; a path that saw him take the arm of the Green Arrow.
