For anybody with any sort of familiarity with comic books hell, even with just good storytelling it was clear and obvious that the endgame of this episode was going to see Green Arrow and Green Arrow side-by-side and fighting the bad guys and looking to put a stop to the evil that has taken over Star City. And so, the finale of Star City 2046 saw Oliver come to the rescue of Diggle Jnr. just as the younger Emerald Archer is about to be on the wrong end of a public beheading. He may have been a little slower than before, but it was all kinds of cool to see a 60-year-old Ollie come out of retirement and take the battle to Deathstroke, teaming up with the other Green Arrow in the process before then endorsing the younger Master Bowman.
