The Creature You Know: Another entry on the Daleks? Well theyre just the monster that keeps on giving. The Dalek Supreme was a pretty cool variation (the one area Nu-Who has diserviced the creatures is giving them few alternate casings) that had very little presence in its staring episode. After fans theorised it was a major threat (some even suggested it was a converted Harriet Jones), the reveal it was just Davros prison warden was a bit lacklustre. The Early Design You Dont: While I've no idea if it was meant to play a bigger role originally (as The Stolen Earth and Journeys End were so stuffed with plot II'm inclined to say no), the early version of the Supreme Dalek was a lot more striking. Evoking the Glass Dalek from Revelation Of The Daleks (a Sixth Doctor episode set early on in the Imperial-Renegade War) the Supreme would have had a clear casing, allowing you to see the mechanisms and mutated Kaled beneath. Of course, once a insane, damaged Caan became part of the story there was little need for another showcase of whats inside and the idea was dropped in favour of the ever so slightly less cool red and gold.
