Doctor Who is a seriously special show, appealing to the young and old alike. Moving ever closer towards its 50th anniversary, now seems like the perfect time to look towards the future and the possibilities it will bring. In this article, we'll take a look at five of the Doctor Who books that I think could be adapted into great films or TV shows. As 'new Who' is my speciality, the books I've included are only from this era. However, if readers have ideas of classic Doctor Who fiction they'd love to see adapted I would love to hear them and will be reading any books readers suggest. To give a broader range of ideas, a book from each Doctor's time in the Tardis is included alongside two less traditional stories. Doctor Who is a show that is loved across the world and already has cultivated spin-offs and a wide merchandise empire. Further exploiting the range of opportunities it brings could both be very profitable and also really exciting for fans!
