Doctor Who: All 85 Revival Era Stories Ranked

By Mark White /

40. Planet Of The Ood

Slavery metaphors, an in-depth look at the Ood and a beautiful setting; it's forgotten in the grand scheme of Series 4, but a lovely episode all the same.

39. The Bells Of Saint John

The third introduction of Jenna Coleman, this is a Skyfall-esque adventure packed with great humour and nice twists. Sorry though, Moff: wifi's not scary.

38. Smith And Jones

A trip to the moon that shows just how much the Doctor needs a companion like Martha. It's bold and amusing, and it's brilliantly written.

37. The Stolen Earth / Journey's End

All that hard work wasted on a cop-out ending: this is still a fantastic Dalek story though, and a shining moment for the companions.

36. The End Of Time

An overblown, big-talking swansong for Tennant, but it's a fitting conclusion to the Master's story, and there are some wonderful scenes with Wilf. Just don't think about Ten's last five words, and we'll be fine.
