The basis behind the story in Deep Breath is that repair droids from a stranded timeship are attempting to repair their craft using human body parts, to reach the Promised Land. The basis behind Robots Of Sherwood is that repair droids from a stranded spaceship are attempting to use local gold to repair their craft, to reach the Promised Land. Weve already seen in Deep Breath that the Half-Face Mans ship was originally a sister ship to the SS Madame Pompadour from season twos The Girl In The Fireplace the SS Marie Antoinette. Weve already seen the 12th Doctor struggle to recall that episode from his life why is he still having trouble putting the pieces together in Robots Of Sherwood, when hes supposed to be over his regeneration amnesia? This repetition of older events is clearly a major plot point for the series as it goes on. We cant wait to find out how could it be something to do with the rumoured reemergence of the Cybermen in the series finale?
