As ingenious as the Master is, if he - or she - is able to find a way to escape the confines of the pocket universe than others may have too. The Rani, The Meddling Monk, Romana...these classic Gallfreyans certainly have the skill and intelligence to survive and maybe the Master / Mistress is just the first of many Timelords the Twelfth Doctor will encounter over the next few years. The rumours prior to series eight suggested that a whole host of rogue Timelords had escaped and would prove to be the main threat to Peter Capaldis Doctor during his tenure on the TARDIS. We were proven right with Missy. She wasnt Charles Dance but then Michelle Gomez was so good, her version of the Master certainly makes up for that. Perhaps there is more truth to that rumour, we just dont know the full story yet. Lets see what series nine brings. Could the Doctor encounter an old ally in Romana III?
