Unlike other incarnations, the Tenth Doctor's last words were controversial. Some felt they were an overly-whiny and disappointing way for such a brave and heroic Doctor to go out, especially considering the stoicism previous incarnations had showin when regenerating. Others felt the phrase was misleading about regeneration as the Doctor wasn't going anywhere and suggesting he was would give the Eleventh a harder time as some wouldn't see him as the Doctor.
However, others found the Tenth's departure a supremely sad end; one to have the tissues ready for. They praised how the Doctor reacted differently to this regeneration with no-one around to put on a brave face for, and felt that such a human and emotional demise was highly fitting for what was arguably the Doctor's most human incarnation.
Whichever side of the fence you happen to be on, the Tenth Doctor's final scene and final line before he regenerated were a key part of his story on the show, offering an insight into this particular incarnations outlook on life as well as perhaps coming out of one or two of his character flaws. It reminded viewers how deep his character was, and for that reason, it merits inclusion on this list.
