Doctor Who: 10 Episodes Perfect For A Film Remake

By Nicola Ritchie /

6. The Power Of Three (Eleventh Doctor)

One of the biggest critiques of the last series of Doctor Who is that without two-parters, some episodes feel cramped and rushed (granted, some two parters feel more stretched than a fat person€™s yoga pants) and not properly paced. There was no other episode that suffered as much from this as the Power of Three. Such potential, and beautifully shot and designed, the denoument, reveal and emotional climax all happen in such quick succession you€™d have to be a Time Lord to catch them all. It€™s a world where the masquerade (that we are not alone in the universe) has been lifted, where we got a glimpse of Rory€™s family and the married life of the Ponds. It€™s criminal this episode didn€™t get time to play, and instead we had a padded out first act and a second and third act more stuffed than€a fat person€™s yoga pants. This episode had excellent effects, cinematography and a great cast. All it really needed was more time.
