Lots of Doctor Who fans are really cool people no doubt and now we can boast of how popular the show is, how many girls watch it, how the Americans love it and so on. However, we all know deep down that there's a bit of Whizzkid in all of us - that's why the character annoys us so much. Fans dressing up as Doctors, companions and monsters is something which is fine for the odd convention, party or *ahem* private moment but in 1993 in the already appalling 30th anniversary Children in Need Who/Eastenders mash-up Dimensions in Time, fans were invited to come along and dress up in some tatty old monster costumes to stand about impotently outide the Queen Vic before Mandy rescues Liz Shaw. It's easily one of the most jaw-droppingly bad moments of any TV ever.
