Since the scheduling of the show had a brief change, the mid-series finale of Series 7 showed the departure of Amy and Rory - and their departure is quite heartbreaking. After losing Rory to a surviving Weeping Angel, Amy decides that she should let the Angel take her, wanting to end up with Rory. Not knowing she will end up elsewhere, she decides to anyway. Having her final moments with the Doctor and her daughter, Amy 'dies', in a sense, and, with every loss of the Doctor's recent companions, this tear-jerking moment has deserved its place in this top ten list. Raggedy man, goodbye! The Doctor's face said it all. Bless him.
