Doctor Who: 10 Things Fans Want From Series 9 (But Won't Get)

6. Gallifrey

Ah, Gallifrey. The Doctor's home planet, and the dark events that happened there, have hung around the various iterations of the character like a weight to constantly drag him down. Previously thought to no longer exist, some timey-wimey magic from Moffat means that it is back in play once again, and last year the Doctor went in search of it. 

Alas, it was not to be. The co-ordinates Missy had given him led nowhere, and he was once again left with just that vast space of hopelessness as far as his home is concerned. However, it's not something they're likely to let lie at this stage. 

Series 9 will presumably pick up on the search once again, and it would be great to finally have the Doctor get back there and to see Gallifrey on our screens this year. More likely, though, is that the search will continue this year, with some major clues and teases dropped, but we're going to be left waiting some more before actually getting there.
