3. Some Damn Answers

Steven Moffat seems to thrive on creating huge mysteries around Doctor Who, having arcs that span series and leave fans scratching their hands. He takes a twisted sort of pleasure from it, and he is the proven master of the art. Series 9 will be no exception. 

There'll be some questions we'll definitely find out, such as who Maisie Williams is playing, but what about those left over from left year (and beyond). How does Missy return? What exactly is her plan, specifically around Clara? How does Osgood return, and what were the Zygons up to with her? 

Then there are the mysteries of Gallifrey, and the fact that Peter Capaldi's face has shown up not once but twice already in the Who universe. Or how about the existence of Orson Pink, in a world where Danny is dead? While we're at it, let's address that time machine from The Lodger? Moffat will no doubt explain some of this - probably in a couple of sentences that aren't really an answer at all - but leave us with far more questions.
