Doctor Who: 10 Things You Didn't Know About The Pantheon Of The Gods

2. They're The Only Villains To Appear Across The Whoniverse

The Pantheon has done something that not even the Daleks or Cybermen have been able to do – appear across every Doctor Who TV show.

The Doctor has done battle with the Toymaker, the Mara, Maestro, and Sutekh in the main show, while the Trickster and his brigade have appeared in Doctor Who, Torchwood, and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

In Turn Left, the Trickster's Brigade tried to alter the life of Donna Noble by use of a Time Beetle. Donna wasn't the only one of the Doctor's companions to fall victim to the Trickster's Brigade either, as the Trickster thrice attempted to meddle in the life of Sarah Jane Smith. On his final attempt, he was foiled by not just Sarah and the Bannerman Road gang, but by the Tenth Doctor too.

Not content to manipulate the personal histories of Doctor Who companions, the Trickster's Brigade also tried to change the course of world history in the aforementioned Torchwood Series 4.

What this all means is that the Pantheon is one of the most prevalent and dangerous villains in the Doctor Who universe – despite their relative lack of fame compared to the pepper-pots and robo-men.
