OK, so maybe not the Abzorbaloff. But Daleks, Autons, Cybermen, Sontarans... and all the others that go a-bumpin' in the night (no, not like that!). They are the classic group of monsters brought to fans everywhere by the limitless story format of Doctor Who. No one has forgotten them and the new series has made sure that none of us ever will as the show is always finding ways to include them in new and exciting stories. The fans are even more blessed to know that the roster is still expanding, with some new monster being just as, or more, popular than the classics that came before them. This is the moment that these new series monsters are talked about. This is the moment that they are ranked. Now, ranking the best new series monsters is not as difficult as say, ranking the best Doctor. Everybody in time and space knows what will be number one. This is not apples and oranges, this is apples and pizzas, and pizza wins by a landslide vote. You know, if the readers got a vote... which, you don€™t. But please try to act surprised anyway. It also goes without saying that a lot of the monsters in this list are creations of Steven Moffat (come on, throw him a bone - he deserves it!). What is surprising, however, is that the Silence do not feature. It was a back and forth struggle trying to decide if they should, but it always comes back to how no one seems to know how to write them to fit their potential. A great concept and creepy appearance can only do so much without a proper use for it. Taking their place are the Slithee€ No, wait! Kidding, guys! Come back! So, without further ado, let us begin.
