The Doctor and Craig Owens save the world with love and what follows is the most hated Doctor Who episode of all time. OK, so it's not the most hated (that one's a-comin'!), but the irony is pretty plain for everyone to see... apart from the writers, apparently, who somehow reached the conclusion that the concept of this episode was a good idea. It's not. Seriously. How do they expect us to take the Cybermen seriously when they're quite literally popping up all over the shop? Or under it, as is the case with this episode. It's a nice enough story (if you like that sort of thing) but it doesn't try to hide from the fact that the whole point of it was just to give Matt Smith and James Corden loads of time together on screen. That's absolutely fine, of course, but why couldn't they have just come up with some sort of original monster for them to take on? Something daft, not too serious... But instead they insist on ruining the Cybermen's reputation even more. You'd think they were trying to turn them into the laughing stocks of the universe, the way they're going. Remember when the Cybermen were actually scary? And speaking of times Doctor Who saved the world with love...
