http://youtu.be/8Gam8ogWBLk Another love story intrinsic to NuWho. Amy and Rory's romance is by far the most poignant. Their last hurrah in Series 7's The Angels Take Manhattan demonstrates the couple's unending loyalty to one another. They didn't even need this heroic act to prove it, though. After all, there have been so many instances in which Amy and Rory's love has withstood the tests of time (quite literally) and even death. The introduction of "ogether Or Not At All is one of solemn acceptance and earnestness - emotions that were once professed by a lonely Roman soldier guarding the Pandorica, the sophisticated prison keeping Amy in stasis. This was the legend of Rory, the Last Centurion, of how he willingly remained at Amy's side for two millennia, ensuring that her passage through time was safe and without hindrance. Amy is often referred to as The Girl Who Waited but she never really had to wait for that dashing, young man to brighten her life. He was there the entire time. Amy and Rory's song begins with a melancholy aura, as if its alluding to the tragic conclusion of the episode. But when they finally leap from the building's edge, a hopeful chorus dominates the melody, for even paradoxes and assassin angels cannot keep them apart. And by God, they've tried.
