While the creature design is terrifyingly reminiscent of the 1960s story Web Planet (a serial which was essentially a handy guide of how to completely wreck your story before it even sees the light of day), it has extra laziness in it which causes it to become a lastingly rubbish costume altogether. The boiler suits are such an awful addition, especially since the creature itself has claws which cannot operate zips. Its the equivalent of trying to make earthly things more sci-fi-y by sticking space in front of it. Instead, theyre making earthly people more sci-fi-y by sticking a weird head on something. That goes for you too, weird cat nuns from New Earth.
