A 20th century computer programmer from the village Pease Pottage in West Sussex; many fans wish that she had stayed there and never set foot upon the TARDIS, or any other planet/spaceship anywhere ever for that matter. With her sickly-sweet, goody-two-shoes, overly cutesy personality and with a voice squeaky enough to rival that of the squeakiest hamster, Mel is the very epitome of annoyance and Ace - quite rightly - is barely able to tolerate her. A busybody who attempts to force her vegetarian diet and exercise regime onto the Sixth Doctor, Mel is unable to go anywhere without being desperately annoying. Even worse, she always does what she's told; where is the fun in that? Thank Jelly Babies that she met Sabalom Glitz and left The Doctor to travel aboard the 'Nosferatu II'. I'm sure that Ace wasn't the only one happy to see the back of her.
