Doctor Who: 12 Big Questions About Ashildr's Episodes

11. And Will She Be Good Or Bad?

Talking of that prophetic image, Ashildr may have started out as a reserved, innocent girl but 800 years clearly changed her as we saw a very different woman in 16th Century England. Quite content to disguise herself and become a notorious highwayman and then willingly allow someone to die to activate the amulet that would take her off world, she was not the same person from the previous week. There was still good in her, but the pain and suffering of seeing everyone she loved or cared about die - including her own children - had clearly destroyed the pure innocence of her childhood. She may have turned herself around, become the 'patron of the people the Doctor left behind' but it still remains to be seen whether she will end up on the Doctor's side, or acting against him.
