Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About The Ninth Doctor

2. Eccleston Wants To Return For The 100th Anniversary Special

With Eccleston finally returning to Doctor Who for some Big Finish audio dramas, the question now turns to whether or not we'll ever see him in the TV show again.

Eccleston has actually talked about returning for a Doctor Who anniversary at some point in the future, and what's more, he even has a specific one in mind: the 100th, which will happen in 2063.

At that point, Eccleston will be 99 years old, but in 2013, he did state (semi-jokingly, of course), that he would return for the 100th anniversary with his sonic and his stair lift in tow.

It's absolutely ages away yet, but if there's one thing we can say for sure about the 100th anniversary... it's that David Tennant will probably be in it.
