I have often remarked that it would be nice to be a companion on Doctor Who for the health benefits. After all, I could participate in exciting adventures, work with superb actors and I could get in shape the hard way. Donna Noble says it best in "The Doctor's Daughter": "He saves planets, rescues civilizations, defeats terrible creatures, and runs a lot. Seriously, there's an outrageous amount of running involved ..." This is nothing new. As you can see in the above video, the Doctor has always been a runner and it's a bit of a...haha...running joke. MadTV once did something similar with the tendency of West Wing characters to walk constantly. On the other hand, we have Frobisher and Tucker, two of the great Capaldi roles. Tucker seems to be best at stalking ominously, which is probably why he is described as having the physical demeanor of a velociraptor. John Frobisher, a civil servant in Torchwood: Children of Earth, never seems to be in a hurry. Add to this the fact that Peter is 55 years old. While he's devastatingly handsome in his own right, he is of a more advanced age than his predecessors. Are we coming to the end of the "outrageous amount of running" era?
