7. The Companions

From what we can gather from the New York Comic-Con panel earlier in the year, The Doctors companions have been left behind on Earth, thinking that their newest friend has abandoned them forever. Whilst together, it can be assumed that they come to the knowledge that the Daleks have returned to Earth in some form or another. Given the nature of the episode, this is more than likely going to be a rogue Dalek. Without the Doctor by their side, Ryan, Yaz, and Graham team up to brainstorm ideas to fight a potential battle on Earth whilst the Doctor is missing.

We currently don’t know much about their plans apart from a note placed on the table that reads "MDZ must research". MDZ might not mean anything at first, but if you were paying attention to the last Doctor Who festive special you will remember it’s the location where the Dalek, using a human host, drives the Police car to gather it’s new weaponry. For those mega conspiracy theorists out there, you might also have noticed that the logo for MDZ actually does look a little like a Dalek.
