Doctor Who: 8 Greatest Things Russell T Davies Contributed To The Whoniverse

8. Journey's End

While Davies wrote a lot of great Doctor Who episodes, the series four finale, Journey's End, is easily one of the best.

With a story that saw the Tenth Doctor and all of his allies come together to battle Davros and the Daleks, the episode managed to wrap up not just series four's story, but the story of most of his companions as well. This left the Tenth Doctor free to go it alone in his final four specials.

When he later returns to bid farewell to his companions before his regeneration in The End of Time, there is nothing left to do but say goodbye. Everything else was resolved in Journey's End.

From the joy of the Doctor and his friends' victory over Davros, to his last goodbye with Rose, and finally, the glorious but tragically short reign of the Doctor-Donna, Journey's End will have you cheering one second, and crying the next.

It remains one of the greatest episodes of Davies' era as showrunner.
