This is more a testament for how good Jenna Coleman could be than a great Clara moment because for much of The Zygon Inversion she is playing a different character. While Coleman imbued all the great qualities of Clara - confidence, intelligence, and ability to go head to head with her captor in a battle of wills - it was her interpretation of playing someone bad that really shone. Bonnie's reaction towards the Doctor in the Black Archives saw her go from arrogant to desperate to reasonable in the space of ten minutes and Coleman delivered this magnificently but for a great Clara moment it has to be the heartbeat scene from the same episode. Bonnie assumes Clara will readily give up her secrets but Clara is stronger than that, deducing correctly that the Zygons need her alive to find out what is in her mind. And then everything is turned on its head as Bonnie realises she can track Clara's heartbeat to tell whether she is lying. Even in the face of this tense moment, Clara remains strong, convincing Bonnie that she needs to look for the answers herself and in doing so keeping herself alive long enough - and distracting Bonnie - for the Doctor to save the day.
