Proof that colourful Daleks can work.

We saw the Supreme Commander reach absolute supremacy in The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, bossing the New Dalek Empire, and Davros himself. There was a certain flamboyance as he made his Stars in their Eyes entrance onto the Crucible bridge, which complemented the booming voice and radiant red paint job.

Thereafter, a white version appeared here and there but we were reacquainted with Old Red in The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar, where, although not reaching the heights of his Crucible counterpart, he was afforded a slightly raised platform... and was Missy's secret favourite.
