If you're going to parody/critique Donald Trump, at least have more fun with the character. Fair play to Chris Noth though - he does ham it up as the Trumpian Jack Robertson despite the eye-rollingly cliché and clunky dialogue:

"I am Jack Robertson and this is my hotel. Just one hotel in an incredibly successful chain of hotels, which is just one small part of my business portfolio, as featured in Fortune Global 500. Does that ring a bell?"

Robertson is a more formidable presence in the 2021 New Year special. Strolling straight into a Dalek Death Squad and then allying yourself with them tends to do that.
