Given the episode title of the 2012 Christmas special, you'd think that the Snowmen would be the headline act, or at least intrinsic to the plot in some way.

They certainly start off with a bang by devouring a group of men in the pre-credits sequence, but pretty much melt away from the story after that. Although that one scene alone makes you want to watch The Snowman to remind you they're not all frighteningly frosty.
