Doctor Who: Legend Of The Sea Devils Trailer Breakdown - 13 Things You Must See

Along with the trailer, the BBC also dropped some new stills from the episode on the official Doctor Who Twitter account (check out the tweet below).

Most of these are similar to shots we see in the trailer so there isn't really anything to say about them, although one particular image - showing Madame Ching holding Dan and Yaz at sword-point, while the Doctor anxiously checks her sonic screwdriver and a corpse rests in the background - is fairly interesting.

Whether this is a conflict that kicks off the episode or brings it to a close, we now know that the whole thing won't take place at sea, which should help Legend of the Sea Devils feel grander in scope - unlike the previous special, Eve of the Daleks.

Eve of the Daleks attempted to use tight COVID restrictions to its advantage by employing a time loop in a single environment, and though certainly an admirable effort, the episode still felt quite cheap and unremarkable.

Based on the footage and stills we've seen thus far, Legend of the Sea Devils looks to have avoided that problem - it feels expensive and epic, and hopefully that's exactly how the finished product comes across.
