10 Doctor Who Questions Not Even Fans Know The Answer To

10. Was Earth Affected By The Time War?

Earth has been the site of about a gazillion alien invasions, yet it didn’t seem to be so much as touched by the Time War until the final day, when Rassilon created that link with the White-Point Star.

We've seen that many other peoples and planets were caught in the crossfire and it's been insinuated that the war affected vast chunks of the universe, so how did Earth manage to go seemingly unscathed? Did it have a giant Simpsons Movie dome around it? Or was there something else going on?

Obviously the Doctor was too busy turning into John Hurt to be there on the ground, but perhaps he did something to ensure his beloved humanity was protected. Or maybe it was just luck. In hindsight it does feel like a great story opportunity missed, to see how Earth was affected by such a universe-shaking event.

Alternatively perhaps Earth was affected, and maybe destroyed, maybe even multiple times in different timelines… but time was reset and events were rewritten, so no-one realised.

When you’re dealing with a literal Time War, anything’s possible.
