2. Amy Pond And Rory Williams (The Big Bang)

When Amy Pond wakes up on the day of her Wedding to Rory Williams, everything seems perfect. The ceremony goes off without a hitch- and yet, Amy is not entirely happy. Something isn't quite right. Something is missing.

Eventually, Amy is able to piece together the clues to realise that the missing thing is her supposedly imaginary friend, The Doctor, at which point she is able to remember him back into existence.

After dancing the night away at the reception, The Doctor sweeps Amy and Rory away for a one-of-a kind Honeymoon. The day takes on even more significance in series six when it is revealed that Amy and Rory's daughter, Melody (aka The Doctor's future wife River Song) was conceived in the TARDIS on their wedding night.
