10. Mark Addy In A Major Role

Veteran actor Mark Addy featured heavily in the finale trailer, and fans are already hoping he plays a huge part. While he’s probably best know for his role as King Robert Baratheon in Game Of Thrones, in his long career he’s also featured in A Knight’s Tale, Robin Hood (the Russell Crowe one), and The Full Monty. He’s a man with more range than just the drunken, boorish oaf he played in Westeros.

While the fanbase is certainly split on the season as a whole, cameos from the likes of Alan Cumming, Lee Mack, and Julie Hesmondhalgh have been well received. Hopefully, Addy can follow in their footsteps and end the season on a high note.

As usual, we don’t know much going in, other than Addy’s character seeming very confused about everything. Is he going to need the Doctor’s help? Or will he prove to be a spanner in the works, unintentionally getting in the gang’s way as they answer the universe’s call? One thing’s for sure; whatever role he has, Addy will deliver.
