Doctor Who Series 13 Starts Filming: 10 Early Predictions For What We'll See

10. A Cosmetic Revamp

Doctor Who is a show that's all about change.

Every three or four years, the lead actor changes. Every one or two years, the companions change. And somewhere within all that change, there's even more change: costumes, TARDIS interiors, sonic screwdrivers, and title sequences are all things that sometimes get updated during a single Doctor's tenure, and considering that Series 13 will be Jodie Whittaker's third year as our leading lady, it wouldn't be terribly surprising to see the show receive a visual update in one way or another.

That could mean a refreshed TARDIS console room, a brand-new costume, a re-worked title sequence, or a different sonic screwdriver - nothing is safe!

While the pandemic may lead the showrunners to drop any non-essential work (and let's face it, this cosmetic stuff is very much non-essential), Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi both had visual revamps for their third seasons. For instance, Smith's costume, title sequence, and TARDIS interior changed, while Capaldi got a new sonic.

So again, it wouldn't be all that surprising if Whittaker were to follow suit.
