2. We Haven't Had Steven Moffat's Take On The Silver Menace Yet...
If the zombie-Cyberman attacking Amy under Stonehenge in 'The Pandorica Opens' is anything to go by, then Moffat knows who to make them threatening, and most importantly...frightening. I love what he did with snowmen, turning something that kids love into a monster in a way only he can do. So he's willing to lay on the scares at the festive period. Could the Cybermen be next? I also have faith that he can do it. He took the ever-defeated Daleks and made them menacing again in 'Asylum Of The Daleks'. Easily the best Dalek episode since season one's 'Dalek', Moffat did something interesting with the foe. The idea of the asylum is a genius one. For fans of Classic Who, it was great to see battle-scarred survivors of Spirdon or Mechanus, shell shocked from their encounters with the Doctor's previous incarnations. Furthermore, 'Nightmare In Silver' suggested that the Cybermen were on the brink of becoming a fully realised threat to the galaxy once more. How much of this was Neil Gaiman and how much was Moffat as showrunner? Was he setting up the final act in the Elevent Doctor's story?
