Game Of Thrones: 5 Ups And 5 Downs From The Dance Of Dragons

10. Jaime Gets His Way - Up

To say the Dorne plot has been travelling at snail pace this season would be an insult to mollusks, with very little happening and it all seemingly headed nowhere. In this episode it does at least pick-up slightly, as Doran - who has been conspicuous by his absence for most of the season - finally appears as the ruler of Dorne he supposedly is, and we get a sense of direction as to where it€™s going. That€™s good news for Jaime, who had been held captive (albeit in luxury), as he€™s set to fulfil his mission: take Myrcella back to King€™s Landing. You€™d be forgiven for forgetting that was the purpose of the whole trip. He€™ll now be heading back to the capital with his daughter, who gets to at least take her betrothed Prince Trystane along with her, so it€™s all worked out well for the Kingslayer, unless there€™s a final sting in the tale.
