Game Of Thrones Cast: Where Are They Now?
25. Emilia Clarke
Emilia Clarke's performance as Daenerys Targaryen catapulted the relative newcomer into superstardom virtually overnight. Throughout the course of the show's run, she found herself becoming something of a Hollywood leading lady as she played Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys and headlined YA adaptation Me Before You.
Given that she played such a fan-favourite character, it shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that fans were miffed with the dreadful conclusion to Daenerys' arc, but the one silver lining in all of it was Clarke's incredible dramatic performance as she did everything short of bending over backwards in order make the unbelievable storyline seem that little bit believable. So hey, at least she went out with some of her finest material.
Since then, she has returned to the big screen; starring in the thriller Above Suspicion as well as headlining last year's holiday film Last Christmas, and she's also set to star in Let Me Count The Ways as real-life poet Elizabeth Barrett. Moreover, she is set to make her West End debut sometime in the future when she stars in in Anton Chekov's The Seagull (which was ultimately delayed due to everything going on in the world right now).
Aside from that, she also launched her own charity SameYou which aims to assist young people with neurorehabilitation following a brain injury or stroke.
