Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'Battle Of The Bastards'

2. Another Mention Of Wildfire

Tyrion was very much in the habit of doling out the history lessons this week, and one was actually accurate. He may have given a revised account of things as far as Theon was concerned, but was correct when telling Daenerys about her father's plans for King's Landing.

He takes great care to stress that he had caches of wildfire, and goes as far as to list all the locations within the city he'd hidden it and planned to burn. It has the desired effect on Dany, as she doesn't go on the path to destroy Slaver's Bay, but it's yet another hint at what's to come.

Coming after Bran's visions of the Mad King and the wildfire, both the stores of it and it actually being unleashed (which hasn't happened yet, so is likely the future), and Qyburn investigating an "old rumour" and now this, it's all pointing to Cersei burning down at least part of King's Landing - or trying to.

The show has got hopes up only to dash them already this season, with hints towards Cleganebowl and Lady Stoneheart now looking like teasing misdirection, so this could be more of the same, but the clues are certainly there.
