Game Of Thrones Season 7: 9 Big Questions After 'Beyond The Wall'

3. How Will The North React To Jon Bending The Knee?

HBO

Although he's too weak to literally bend the knee, Jon figuratively does so this week, after something of a talking round by Tormund. It's the sensible option in the long run, as far as securing Daenerys' loyalty and help goes (again, why has no one mentioned marriage to solve this?), but what will his people think?

The Northerners were adamant that he shouldn't even go meet with the Targaryen girl in the first place, and definitely won't like the idea of their King bending the knee to some Southern Queen.

It doesn't even seem likely Jon will get back to the North this season, but with Sansa urging Robb to bend the knee a thorny issue at Winterfell already, what will happen when they discover Jon has pledged his allegiance to Queen Daenerys Targaryen? Will they continue to follow him, or will there be a rebellion? There doesn't seem to be time for that, but it shouldn't be something they easily accept either.
