Through everything that's happened during the course of the show, Davos has remained just and loyal - and he's seen his fair share of horrors, and the evil that men (or Red Women) do.

He is the biggest banger of the 'band together and face the real threat' drum in Westeros, and that's what he'll keep playing in Season 7. A good-hearted man, he's earned the right to a few years of peace once this is all done. Which is why he'll probably die, but not until Season 8. The White Walkers aren't quite here yet - though he will probably be going Beyond-the-Wall, which is worrying - and he can survive to see the various factions coming together, before what may be one of the series' most heartbreaking losses.
