Maggie's character actually has some fairly striking differences between her comic and TV characters. In the show she is a self-assured confident young woman, even if she can't quite grasp the nature of the new world to begin with. In the comics, she is physically and emotionally weak, and relies a lot on Glenn to survive. She grows a lot throughout the comic book issues though, and becomes a strong figure more akin to the one in the TV show. She has become a strong leader, even if she prefers to handle things through discussions as opposed to violence, though she understands what must be done at times.
