Before Ted’s clanger, the two were enjoying a wonderful evening. Ted seemed to be getting over Robin with the help of a beautiful girl who loved Star Wars. He should still be having sleepless nights about this one.

7. Maggie Wilks

Ted had a crush on Maggie for years, but never got his opportunity to woo her. She was always snapped up by somebody else, as if there is something attractive about a cute marine biologist who mentors inner city children.

The window was not open long enough in season five for Ted to discover whether he and Maggie could have had something special. Had it been, the window may never have opened again.
