As Danny and Joy have a heart-to-heart at his swanky apartment in episode four, Triad agents arrive and attempt to kidnap Joy.

Cue what feels like a recurring motif in Netflix Marvel shows now: a hallway fight scene. Danny attacks the hatchet-wielding assailants and makes quick work of them with an impressive martial arts display, though he almost catches a flying blade to the face in the process.

The fight then spills into an elevator, where director Miguel Sapochnik uses split-screen boxes to give the viewer extensive coverage of the cramped locale. With a little help from his magic fist, he dismantles every last attacker.

There's a night-and-day difference between the horribly-edited fight sequences from the first few episodes and this one, but such is the benefit of hiring a director such as Sapochnik, who helmed Game of Thrones' universally-acclaimed Battle of the Bastards last year and clearly knows how to stage visceral action.

It's a terrifically entertaining battle and feels far more in touch with the pulpy tone of the source material than most of the other fights in the series.
