It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Times Dennis Reynolds Embraced His Inner Sociopath
6. The Implication
The open sea, the wind in your hair, deep blue waters, and endless adventure opportunities. So many possibilities await on a boat. As well as all of this, there is of course "the implication."
If you think that sounds sinister, then you'd be absolutely right. When Dennis, Mac, and Charlie buy a boat together they all have different aspirations for it. Charlie, innocent as he is, wants a shrimping vessel to live out his Forrest Gump fantasies, and Mac wants it in order to satisfy his need for speed. Dennis on the other hand, has one goal in mind, and that's to get women alone out on the open ocean because of the implication.
Dennis is convinced that a woman couldn't possibly say no to his advances if she's alone in the middle of nowhere with someone she barely knows, in fear of what might happen if she does. While he is adamant that if she did say no, then of course he'd accept it, but that's coming from a man who has said that the words "please don't do that" have never worked on him before. Yikes.
Mac, visibly concerned about Dennis's motives, questions him on it but it only results in Dennis digging himself a deeper hole. Maybe it's a good thing that the gang sank the boat on its maiden voyage after all.
