2. David Creates A Tower Of Soldiers

Speaking of Clark, when he first appeared at the tail-end of Chapter 7 and ordered his group of armed soldiers to kill everyone who wasn't David while everyone looked on in fear, we expected Chapter 8 to begin with a massive fight scene.

However, when Chapter 8 begins, this cliffhanger is resolved in a matter of seconds as David rounds up every single soldier via telekinesis and stacks them all into a towering pile of humanity. The way the terrified warrior panic and squirm makes it rather unsettling, as what is going on can be compared to a young child relentless tormenting a group of insects just because he can.

This also serves not only as a reminder of just how powerful David is, but also illustrates the fact that in learning to use his power better, he is becoming a true unstoppable force.
