10. The Shooter Revealed
Terry Chen's Pryce Cheng had been a thorn in Jessica's side for the first five episodes, but then seemingly disappeared from view. He was left out of the next three episodes, and the plot had seemingly left him behind.

However, Cheng wasn't done with Jessica just yet, and it was revealed at the start of the ninth episode that the sniper who shot at Jessica and Alisa was none other than the rival PI, despite the fact he hadn't shown any murderous tendencies and wasn't involved in the story at that point. It was surprising for sure, but also an odd way to bring him back into the fold.
